Blotter for March 1
According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
An Aiken woman reported on Wednesday that her 5-year-old son was attacked by a loose dog while he was walking home from the bus stop.
Gunshots were reported at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the 500 block of Chesterfield Street. Officers investigated but found no evidence of shots fired.
A gas drive-off was reported at a station on Richland Avenue on Thursday. Two unknown people pumped gas into their vehicle and then fled the scene without paying. The clerk reported that the two people are suspects in other drive-off incidents.
A burglary was reported at a business on Richland Avenue on Tuesday. The owner reported a rug missing.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A 57-year-old Graniteville man was detained for shoplifting on Thursday after he tried to take several packs of meat from a store on Jefferson Davis Highway in Langley without paying.
A burglary was reported at a home on Holiness Church Road in Wagener on Friday. The owner reported electronics and jewelry missing.
An additional burglary was reported on Golf Course Road in Warrenville on Thursday.
A vehicle was reported stolen from Old Powderhouse Road in Aiken on Friday.
