Motor home burned in suspicious fire

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious fire in a motor home in Jackson on Tuesday.

The fire was reported in a motor home on North Silverton Street about 4:30 p.m., according to a sheriff’s report.

Officers found the motor home to be burned and smoking, and a metal gas can inside the motor home, the report stated. The victim said the gas can should not be there.

The motor home was valued at $25,000.
