According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 74-year-old Aiken man reported a scam last week after receiving a call from someone staying he’d won $1 million, and that he would have to send in a $350 money order to collect the prize.
A 69-year-old Aiken woman reported fraud on Monday after realizing there had been fraudulent purchases on several credit cards.
Officers found a 42-inch Toshiba television with a cracked screen lying in some bushes on Richland Avenue on Monday. The TV had not been reported stolen and was placed into evidence.
Two air conditioner units were damaged and their internal parts stolen at a home on Greenwich Drive on Monday.
A burglary was reported at a home on Stone Drive on Monday. The victim said she awoke to the sound of the window beside her bed shattering and someone trying to climb in. The person ran away when she screamed.
A 32-year-old Aiken man was detained for simple possession of marijuana on Monday after he was pulled over on York Street for a headlight violation. The officers smelled the odor of marijuana inside the car, and after receiving permission to search it and the suspect, found three bags of leafy, green substance.

A 24-year-old Aiken man reported on Monday that an unknown person used his information to apply for a $5,000 loan.
A Beech Island man reported fraud on Monday after an unknown person allegedly obtained his wife’s Social Security number and filed taxes.
A 52-year-old Aiken woman reported fraud on Monday after someone allegedly used her cellphone information to purchase phones and a tablet and shipped them to an address in New Jersey.
An unknown man shoplifted several items from an automotive store on Jefferson Davis Highway in Beech Island on Monday.
