Mayer and Wust among those winning gold

Matthias Mayer of Austria pulled off a big upset at the Sochi Winter Olympics, winning the gold medal in the men’s downhill over favorites including American Bode Miller. Irene Wust of the Netherlands gave her country its second gold in speedskating.
