Two masked men robbed an Aiken convenience store at gunpoint on Thursday night, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened about 9:15 p.m. at the Food Mart on Edgefield Highway, according to a sheriff's report.

The victim told officers two masked men entered the store, placed a white plastic bag on the counter and told her to put the money in it.

The victim said they told her to “go slow” and pointed a long firearm at her, the report stated.

They fled down S.C. 19 toward I-20 in a silver or gray car after receiving an undisclosed amount of money. Neither the clerk nor a second victim in the store were able to provide descriptions of the suspects due to the clothes and masks they were wearing.

The case remains under investigation.
