William F. Umstetter, Jr.
McComb, MS – William F. Umstetter, Jr., 79, a resident of McComb, MS died January 31, 2014 at McComb Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5:00 PM until memorial services at 6:00 PM at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home. Mr. Umstetter was born December 4, 1934 to William F. Umstetter, Sr. and Rose Kurr Umstetter. He received the Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from Atlanta Christian College. He also achieved a Master of Arts in Ministry. He became a minister to several Independent Christian Churches. He served churches over 30 years. He loved the Lord Jesus and preaching God’s word, his wife, and his family. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening, word-find games and crossword puzzles. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Conrad Umstetter and Johnny Umstetter, five sisters; Helen, Catherine, Ann, Rose and Bertha Umstetter, and a great-grandson Ian Burgess. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Margaret Davis Umstetter, two daughters and son-in-laws; Catherine Huffer (Gary) of McComb, MS and Susan Critelli (Steve) of Tallahassee, FL, a son William F. Umstetter, III (Gina) of Zachary, LA, Seven grandchildren; Andrea Umstetter, William F. Umstetter, IV, Erin Umstetter Bryant (James), Matthew Umstetter, Nalani Burgess Hamby, Eric Burgess (Jessica), Malia Burgess; six great grandchildren, sister-in-law Karalee Bidwell (Melvin) of St. Petersburg, FL, a sister Sofie Umstetter of Glenolden, PA, a nephew John Mitchell Bidwell, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
