According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 20-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Monday after he tried to take a phone case and a charging cable from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.

A 12-year-old girl was charged with third-degree assault and battery on Monday after she allegedly started a fight with a 13-year-old girl at a bus stop on Brown Lane.

A 54-year-old Aiken man was jailed for disorderly conduct, failure to comply and a previous warrant for disorderly conduct on Tuesday after he was found intoxicated and staggering down Edgefield Avenue. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and refused an officer’s request to remain seated.

A 15-year-old student was detained for simple possession of marijuana on Tuesday after he was found to have two small bags of green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana in his possession at school.

An unknown man pumped $64 in gasoline into a vehicle and drove off from a gas station on Richland Avenue on Tuesday.

A burglary was reported at a home on Kershaw Street on Tuesday. The owner reported a video game console and remotes, a cellphone and a laptop missing. Other parts of the home had been rummaged through.

An additional burglary was reported at a home on Laurens Street on Saturday. The owner reported an air conditioner unit damaged and copper stolen and an additional air conditioner unit stolen.

Officers responded to a burglar alarm caused by an open door at a school on Dougherty Road on Tuesday. They cleared the building and secured the door.

A vehicle was reported stolen from Park Avenue on Tuesday.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A burglary was reported at a home on Thompson Avenue in North Augusta on Tuesday. The owner reported electronics, a firearm and jewelry missing.

An additional burglary was reported on Wagener Road in Aiken on Wednesday. The owner reported cigarettes missing.

Tools were reported stolen from a shed outside a home on Whaley Pone Road in Graniteville on Tuesday.
