According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 55-year-old Belvedere man was detained for disorderly conduct on Tuesday after he was found passed out in a motorized shopping cart at a store on Richland Avenue. The man smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech.
A 40-year-old North Augusta woman reported losing her purse Monday in a store on Richland Avenue. The purse was later recovered in a shopping cart; however, the woman said she was missing some cash.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
Farm equipment was reported stolen from a home on Piper Road in Aiken on Monday.
A heating and air conditioning unit was reported stolen from a home on Field Cemetery Road in Graniteville on Monday.
An unknown man shoplifted two boxes of over-the-counter medication from a pharmacy on Jefferson Davis Highway in Clearwater on Monday.
A burglary was reported at a home on Mim Woodring Drive in North Augusta on Monday. The owner reported seven chandeliers missing.
Additional burglaries were reported on Cary Avenue in North Augusta and Butler Circle in Aiken.
