Wagener-Salley 49 Fox Creek 34


Ta’Nauziah Corley scored 17 points as Wagener-Salley (12-6, 6-1) earned a 49-34 region win on Friday night over Fox Creek.


Mya Landy finished the game with 12 points and Morgan Foster scored 10 for the War Eagles, who bounced back from a loss to Ridge Spring-Monetta.


The Predators were led by Dominique Moore’s 21 points.


South Aiken 37 White Knoll 34


The South Aiken girls’ basketball team (6-8, 1-3 Region 5-AAAA) earned its first region victory on Friday with a 37-34 win over White Knoll.


Morgan Fair and Randi Damron both scored 14 points for the Thoroughbreds, who will take on Dutch Fork on Tuesday night in Irmo.


Ridge Spring-Monetta 41 HKT 32


Ridge Spring-Monetta’s (11-4, 7-0 Region 4-A) girls’ basketball team continued its run through region opponents on Friday night, and picked up a 41-32 victory over HKT.


Crystal Preston scored 15 points for the Lady Trojans to lead the way. Ty’Miyah Tyler finished with 12 points on the night.


Ridge Spring-Monetta will be back in action on Tuesday against Blackville-Hilda at home.


Palmetto Christian 62 South Aiken Baptist 36


South Aiken Baptist’s girls’ basketball team was on the wrong end of a 62-36 loss on Friday night at the hands of Palmetto Christian.


Katie Minichan scored 31 of the Crusaders points in the game.


Silver Bluff 50 Barnwell 27


Kippen Wallace notched another double-double for the Bulldogs, (8-5, 5-0 Region 5-AA) who beat Barnwell 50-27. Wallace finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds in the game.


Ashanti Brown led all scorers with 21 points. Silver Bluff plays Bamberg-Ehrhardt on Tuesday.


Boys’ Basketball

Barnwell 69 Silver Bluff 65


Silver Bluff (4-9, 2-3 Region 5-AA) fell to region foe Barnwell 69-65 on Friday night.


The Bulldogs got a strong showing from Jaylen Lawrence, who scored 35 points in the contest. Malcolm Green was the other Bulldog player to finish in double figures. He had 13 points.


White Knoll 90 South Aiken 62


Jordan Scott scored 18 points but South Aiken (4-10, 0-4 Region 5-AAAA) was unable to overcome the offensive onslaught from White Knoll in a 90-62 loss.


Kingsley Priester scored 11 points.


The Thoroughbreds will travel to Dutch Fork on Tuesday.


Fox Creek 70 Wagener-Salley 45


Fox Creek (14-4, 7-0 Region 4-A) kept its unblemished region record in a 70-45 win over Wagener-Salley.


Two Predators finished with 20-plus points. Corrin Cannon scored 21, and Marques Sumner scored 20. Brandyn Quiller had 15.


Palmetto Christian 70 South Aiken Baptist 61


South Aiken Baptist fell to 8-4 on the season with a 70-61 loss to Palmetto Christian.


Joshua Metzger led all scorers with 23 points. Caleb Bishop also finished in double figures with 22. South Aiken Baptist plays Holly Hill on Tuesday.
