The North Augusta Artists Guild’s Visual Arts Scholarship of $500 is awarded annually to a graduating senior who is considering a college degree in the arts. The North Augusta Artists Guild was initiated in 2002 as a group of local residents who support artists and art organizations by sponsoring projects that enhance the arts in the North Augusta community as well as in the CSRA. The Visual Arts Scholarship is funded by members of the Artists Guild.
Applicants must reside in North Augusta and attend high school (public, private and charter or home school). He or she must demonstrate excellence in the visual arts. Eligible applicants must intend to enroll in an accredited college, university or other institution of formal education in the fall of 2014.
All applications are reviewed by a scholarship committee comprised of North Augusta Artists Guild members. Application assistance is available through the North Augusta Cultural Arts Council website at www.naartscouncil.org, click on Artists Guild.
The application deadline is Friday, March 28. The Visual Arts Scholarship winner will be announced at the May 6 meeting of the North Augusta Artists Guild. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. at the North Augusta Community Center.
