Column: A reason to replace Graham
In their support of the Senate “comprehensive” illegal alien immigration bill, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., have bought into the far left propaganda that supporting this bill will increase support of the Republican Party by the Latino community.
Typical of this propaganda is the Jan. 10 column by Dan Thomasson in the Aiken Standard. No cave-in to the lawbreaking illegals’ demands will help the Republicans to get more votes, instead they will lose votes from those who support the rule of law and want as a first measure, securing our borders and enforcing current immigration laws. Our out of control Visa holder non-tracking system needs overhaul as well.
Whenever a “comprehensive” bill is proposed, it should be rejected outright because these bills contain, as in this case, every wish list item of the far left immigrant rights group “La Raza” – or The Race – and the illegal immigration lawyers’ lobby. Few senators read these bills, they just listen to the propaganda and pass them, like they did with Obamacare.
These illegal immigrants caused their own problems by coming here and breaking numerous additional laws to stay here, such a using forged documents and lying on job applications – also getting tax ID’s and Social Security numbers – to illegally get jobs. We do not need 10 million of these lawbreakers added to the voting roles of the democrats, nor do we need more job competition for the unemployed U.S. citizens in our labor force.
