An Aiken woman reported an engagement ring stolen when she went to take a shower while hosting a party, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. at a home on Edisto Road in Aiken, according to the sheriff's report.

The 20-year-old victim was having a party at the home and decided to take a shower in the guest bathroom. She took off her engagement ring and placed it on the counter by the sink.

The victim said she heard a few people enter the bathroom while she was showering but was unable to identify them, the report stated. She noticed the ring missing when she got out of the shower. She asked partygoers if they took the ring and no one stepped forward, at which point she ended the party.
