According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A24-year-old Hephzibah, Ga., woman was detained for shoplifting on Thursday after she tried to take dog food and cedar shavings from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.
A 14-year-old Aiken boy reported on Friday that another teenage boy pointed a gun in his face and demanded the victim’s iPhone while the victim was in his backyard with his dog.
A 60-year-old Aiken man was detained for disorderly conduct on Friday after he was found intoxicated in a convenience store on York Street.
A 60-year-old Aiken man was detained for disorderly conduct and trespass after notice on Saturday after he was found intoxicated and slumped over in a chair in a laundromat on Hampton Avenue.
A 46-year-old Windsor woman was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after she tried to take about $400 in merchandise from a Richland Avenue store without paying.
A 45-year-old West Columbia woman was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after she tried to take $230 in merchandise from a store by hiding it in her purse.
A 35-year-old Aiken woman was detained for DUI on Sunday after she was pulled over on Richland Avenue for driving erratically. The woman exhibited signs of intoxication and was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests. A breath test revealed a blood-alcohol content of .29 percent.
A 46-year-old Aiken man reported his wallet stolen from a store on Whiskey Road on Friday.
An Aiken business owner reported fraud on a credit card his business has with a home improvement store. The suspect used the card in 12 transactions totaling about $2,200.
A burglary was reported at a home on Ridgecrest Avenue on Thursday. The owner reported credit cards, a birth certificate, a passport, a checkbook, jewelry and coins missing.
An additional burglary was reported on Beaufort Street on Friday. A witness saw two unknown men loading metal and copper into a trailer, then drive off.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
An Augusta man reported that his passenger window busted while driving west on I-20 near mile marker 22.
A burglary was reported on on Morgan Street in Aiken on Sunday. The owner reported a television missing.
An unknown man took two cartons of cigarettes from a store on Jefferson Davis Highway on Sunday.
An unknown woman took two beers from a convenience store on Edgefield Road in North Augusta on Saturday without paying.
A vehicle break-in was reported Sunday on Trolley Line Road in Graniteville. The suspect reportedly broke out a rear window and took a purse.
An additional vehicle break-in was reported on Storm Branch Road in Beech Island on Sunday. An amplifier was reported missing.
