According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 65-year-old Graniteville woman reported fraud on Tuesday after learning of an unauthorized transaction of more than $400 at an Aiken gas station on her bank card. The woman reported losing her wallet shortly before the fraud.
A 38-year-old Aiken man reported fraud on Monday after finding someone made an unauthorized transaction on his bank card at a store on Whiskey Road.
A 22-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Wednesday after being pulled over for running a red light on Whiskey Road. The man was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests and provided a blood-alcohol sample of .14 percent.
A 22-year-old Windsor man was detained for DUI on Wednesday after being pulled over on Richland Avenue. The driver had previously been told by officers that he was too impaired to drive, and said he would leave the vehicle parked for the night. The driver failed multiple field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.
A 56-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Wednesday after being pulled over on Two Notch Road for driving erratically. The driver failed multiple field sobriety tests and was unable to provide a breath sample.
An unknown man took a drill set from a store on Richland Avenue on Monday without paying.
A 39-year-old Aiken man reported on Monday that someone broke the headlight of his vehicle on Ligon Street.
A Warrenville man reported on Wednesday that someone broke the rear windshield of his vehicle on Bee Lane.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A 33-year-old Aiken woman reported on Wednesday that a Gloverville woman she invited into her home for Christmas took about $6,500 in jewelry from her home. The suspect reportedly admitted to stealing the jewelry during a telephone conversation the victim recorded and played for officers.
Burglaries were reported on Chestnut Avenue in North Augusta and Buttonwood Drive in Graniteville.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Maybelle Lane in Aiken on Wednesday. The owner reported a gun missing from the unlocked vehicle.
