Police: Pregnant woman assaults boyfriend for refusing to buy her marijuana

A Warrenville man declined to press charges against his pregnant girlfriend after she threw a tricycle at him for not buying her marijuana, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened at a home on Joes Park Road about 1 p.m. Sunday, according to the sheriff's report. The 25-year-old victim told officers his 20-year-old girlfriend wanted him to go buy her a “blunt.”

“ ... He refused to buy weed for her since she is pregnant, and he doesn't buy weed,” the report stated. The woman took the keys to the vehicle and the man removed the tag because she doesn't have a license and shouldn't be driving, the report said.

The victim said the suspect threw a tricycle at him but didn't hit him with it, the report stated. The suspect told officers she told her boyfriend she was going to call police and he allegedly choked her.

The victim denied choking the woman but said he pushed her shoulder when she tried to take the license tag from him, according to the report. The woman is the mother of the victim's children and is “possibly” pregnant with his child now, the report said.
