According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A Warrenville man last week took cans of paint, spray paint, tape and an LED light kit from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.
An Aiken woman reported on Friday that her son’s father took money from her purse at her home on Union Street.
An unknown man allegedly defrauded an Aiken business on Friday when he called in a large order to the restaurant but failed to pick it up.
A convenience store employee on Saturday found a bag of what appeared to be marijuana on the floor of the store while sweeping.
A 32-year-old Graniteville man was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after he tried to take two frozen turkeys, seven chuck roasts, four prime ribs and seven cases of beer from a store on Richland Avenue without paying. He was also charged with trespass after notice and failure to comply.
Two unknown men allegedly stole six Polo shirts from a store in Aiken Mall on Saturday without paying.
A burglary was reported at a home on Columbia Avenue on Sunday. The owner reported a television, a computer and cash missing.
Additional burglaries were reported on Fairway Ridge, Charleston Row Boulevard and Hampton Avenue.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Colleton Avenue. The owner reported a case of CDs missing.
A trailer was reported missing from a home on Hampton Avenue on Saturday.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A 43-year-old North Augusta man was detained for disorderly conduct on Saturday after he was found by an officer intoxicated on Edgefield Avenue. The man exhibited signs of intoxication and became belligerent when placed in the back of the patrol car. He reportedly struck his head against the car’s glass partition.
A North Augusta man reported on Saturday that someone siphoned gas and stole batteries out of multiple vehicles on his property. The suspect also reportedly cut the gas line to a boat and bent the hood on a lawn mower.
A burglary was reported at a home on Festival Trail Road in Wagener on Sunday. The owner reported a fridge missing.
An additional burglary was reported on Elbert Street in Graniteville on Saturday. The owner reported electronics, a purse, clothing and tools missing.
A Windsor woman reported on Sunday that an unknown person opened a cellphone account in her name, but using their own credit. She made the discovery after receiving a bill for the service.
An Aiken man reported fraud on Sunday after he found an unauthorized charge on his bank account.
A break-in was reported at a fireworks stand on Whiskey Road on Sunday. Fireworks were reported missing.
