According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
An 18-year-old Myrtle Beach man was detained for shoplifting on Thursday after he tried to take a pair of headphones from a store on Richland Avenue.
A 53-year-old Aiken woman was detained on Friday for possession of stolen goods, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to register, open container and driving under suspension third-degree. She was pulled over on York Street after an officer ran the plates on her vehicle and realized it had been reported stolen.
A 30-year-old Aiken man reported on Friday that someone keeps removing the lug nuts from one of the wheels of his vehicle.
A 30-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Friday after he was found sitting in the parking lot of a bank on Richland Avenue. The man smelled of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests, and was also charged with open container.
A 24-year-old Graniteville man was detained for shoplifting on Friday after he tried to take DVDs from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.
An 18-year-old Salley man was detained for shoplifting on Friday after he tried to take a flashlight and batteries from a store on York Street without paying.
A 23-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after he tried to take gloves from a store on Whiskey Road.
A 34-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after he put on clothing items in a store, removed the tags and tried to walk out without paying for the clothes.
A 26-year-old Aiken woman was jailed for DUI on Sunday after she was pulled over for swerving. The woman smelled strongly of alcohol and failed multiple field sobriety tests. She provided a breath sample that yielded a .16 percent blood-alcohol concentration.
A 30-year-old Aiken man said he was assaulted while walking out of a store on York Street on Sunday. He told officers the suspect, who goes by “Al,” told him he owed him money before punching him.
A 26-year-old Aiken woman was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after she tried to take sunglasses and perfume from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.
A 33-year-old Gloverville man was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after he tried to take gloves from a store on Richland Avenue.
A 23-year-old Augusta woman was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after she tried to take several cases from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.
Four unknown people on Saturday took nearly $1,000 in items from a store on Whiskey Road without paying by placing the items in a cart and pushing it out the door.
In a separate incident, four unknown people took a number of electronic items and an indoor grill from a store on Whiskey Road on Sunday without paying.
A vehicle break-in was reported on University Parkway on Saturday. The owner reported a gun, an amplifier and sunglasses missing.
Gunshots were reported on Wyman Street about 11:15 p.m. on Saturday. Officers investigated but found no evidence of shots fired.

A 58-year-old Aiken man reported on Saturday that his wife struck him in the face multiple times with a closed fist after they got into an argument over her apparent new lover.
A Warrenville woman being detained for other warrants at a motel on Richland Avenue on Friday was also charged with unlawful possession of prescription drugs after officers found her in possession of multiple kinds of prescription pills.
A Warrenville woman reported on Sunday that her neighbor made threats to kill her and burn her house down after they got into an argument over the suspect’s dog attacking the victim’s dog.
A 22-year-old North Augusta man was detained for disorderly conduct on Sunday after beating on the door of a Woodland Drive home about 5:20 a.m. on Sunday. Deputies said the man appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance and told officers he didn’t know how he got there.
A North Augusta man reported on Sunday that two unknown men struck him in the back of the head on Northview Drive.
A Wagener man was jailed for criminal domestic violence on Sunday after he pushed his wife to the ground and slapped her multiple times. She told deputies she was leaving the home after her husband accused her of having an affair.
A Warrenville woman reported on Sunday that someone threw an ash tray through a window of her home on Maple Street. Another resident reported someone threw a cellphone through a window of her home.
Burglaries were reported on Whaley Pond Road in Graniteville, Legion Road in Warrenville, Charleston Highway in Williston, Belvedere Road in Clearwater and Pine Street in Gloverville.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Augusta Road in Gloverville on Saturday.
