According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 47-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Thursday after a collision on Whiskey Road. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests and refused to provide a breath sample.
A New Ellenton woman reported on Wednesday that someone took three bottles of prescription pills from her unlocked car on University Parkway.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Roses Run on Thursday. The owner reported a handbag missing.
Counterfeit currency was reported on Wednesday at a store on Whiskey Road and a high school basketball game.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office:
An unknown man caused damage to a car wash on Hitchcock Parkway in Aiken on Thursday when he tried to force his way into the control room.
A burglary was reported on Country Lane in Wagener on Thursday. The owner reported money, coins, a safe, a video game console and a firearm missing.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Broadcast Drive in North Augusta on Thursday. The car was unlocked and there appeared to be damage on the ignition from the suspect trying to start it.
An additional vehicle break-in was reported on Ascauga Lake Road in Graniteville on Thursday.
A Beech Island woman reported on Thursday that someone took some of her prescription pills from her Berry Lane home.
