According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 38-year-old North Augusta woman was detained for shoplifting on Monday after she tried to take two pairs of pants and two bicycle helmets from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.
A 36-year-old Aiken woman was detained for shoplifting on Tuesday after she tried to take several CDs and cellphone accessories from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Whiskey Road on Monday. The owner reported a jacket and a handgun missing from the unlocked vehicle.
An additional vehicle break-in was reported on Pine Log Road on Wednesday. The vehicle’s battery was reported missing.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A Wagener man reported fraud on Tuesday after he realized that someone used his identity to fraudulently obtain financial aid at a college in Augusta.
An 18-year-old Aiken man was detained for criminal domestic violence on Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at her Alpine Drive home.
A burglary was reported at a home on Epona Lane in Aiken on Tuesday. The owner reported shoes, electronics, firearms, ammo and jewelry missing.
Additional burglaries were reported on Blanchard Road in North Augusta, Wagener Road in Aiken, Elton Avenue in North Augusta, Oakcrest Lane in Aiken, Reynolds Pond Road in Aiken, Augusta Road in Beech Island and Apache Drive in Clearwater.
Vehicles were reported stolen from Richland Avenue and Harris Family Road in Trenton.
