According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office:

A Graniteville woman reported identity theft on Friday after she realized an unknown person opened an account with a Las Vegas-area communications company in her name.

A Beech Island man reported on Friday that someone damaged the mirrors and taillights on his vehicle parked on Dixie Clay Road.

A North Augusta man also reported damage to his vehicle, which was parked on Woodberry Lane, after he found damage to the taillights and paint.

A 41-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Saturday after he was pulled over on Jefferson Davis Highway in Clearwater for squealing his tires while leaving an intersection and for speeding. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after refusing to participate in field sobriety tests, and also refused to provide a breath sample.

An unknown man tried to steal a jacket and a curling iron from a store on Jefferson Davis Highway on Saturday. He dropped the items, along with his cellphone, while running from the store when confronted by employees and customers.

A burglary was reported on Cumbee Trail Road in Aiken on Saturday. The owner reported jewelry, electronics and food missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on Elton Avenue in North Augusta and Mt. Beulah Road in Windsor.

Vehicle break-ins were reported on Murrah Avenue in Aiken and Nature's Trail Place in Graniteville.

A vehicle was reported stolen from Boyd Pond Road in Beech Island on Saturday.
