According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 29-year-old Beech Island man was detained for disorderly conduct after entering a store on Richland Avenue and acting suspiciously, at times knocking over merchandise. Officers will obtain additional warrants for the man because he fraudulently picked up someone's prescription medication at the store's pharmacy.
Shoplifting warrants will be obtained for a 19-year-old Aiken man after he allegedly took a shirt, a windbreaker and a stocking cap from a store in Aiken Mall without paying on Wednesday. He dropped the cap while running from the store.
A 25-year-old Matthews man was detained for DUI on Wednesday after being pulled over on Whiskey Road for weaving in his lane. The man was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests. He provided a breath sample that yielded a .12 percent blood-alcohol content.
A 14-year-old Aiken boy was detained for third-degree assault and battery after striking another student in the head with his fists twice.
A 20-year-old Aiken woman reported her wallet stolen from her shopping cart at a store on Whiskey Road on Wednesday.
An unknown man on Wednesday took several meat products from a store on York Street without paying.
A 48-year-old Aiken woman reported on Wednesday that someone made an unauthorized purchase on her bank card.
A burglary was reported at a home on Berkley Street on Tuesday. A television and two laptops were reported missing.
An additional burglary was reported at a home on Alfred Street on Wednesday. A video game console, a television and a laptop were reported missing.
A man reported hearing a gunshot about 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday near Springwood Drive. Officers investigated, but found no evidence of shots fired.
Officers responded to an alarm caused by an open door at a home on Congress Drive on Wednesday. Nothing was out of place, and the home was secured.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office:
A 33-year-old North Augusta woman on Wednesday reported a wheel missing from her vehicle parked outside her Teresa Avenue home. The vehicle was found resting on a cinderblock.
A burglary was reported at a home on Goodman Road in Jackson on Wednesday. The owner reported a television missing.
