According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 35-year-old Aiken woman was detained for shoplifting on Monday after she tried to steal earrings, socks and underwear from a store on Whiskey Road by concealing them in her purse.
An Aiken woman reported on Monday that her husband threatened to burn their house down and kill her if she went near his ďcache of tools.Ē
An 18-year-old Warrenville man was detained for simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Tuesday after he was pulled over on Whiskey Road for making an illegal right turn. The officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, he found a grinder, glass tubes commonly used to smoke marijuana and a glass jar containing a leafy green substance.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriffís Office:
An air conditioner unit and a stove were reported missing from a home on Pine Bark Lane in North Augusta on Monday.
A burglary was reported on Old Tory Trail Road in Aiken on Monday. The owner reported firearms missing.
An additional burglary was reported on Chipmunk Lane in Trenton on Monday. Electronics were reported missing.
A vehicle break-in was reported at a school on Columbia Highway in Aiken on Monday. The victim said she parked her vehicle and went into the school to drop off a book bag; when she returned, a window in the vehicle was broken and her purse was missing.
Two additional vehicle break-ins were reported on Vaucluse Road in Aiken on Monday. A generator and two drills were reported missing.
A vehicle was reported stolen from Bettis Academy Road in Graniteville on Monday.
