According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 43-year-old Windsor woman was detained for obtaining prescriptions by fraud on Wednesday after she called in a prescription to a pharmacy on Whiskey Road, posing as an employee of a doctor’s office. The woman told officers arresting her that she had a court date on Monday for a previous charge of obtaining prescriptions by fraud.
A 48-year-old San Antonio, Texas woman reported on Thursday that someone took a track suit from her hotel room on Whiskey Road.
A 32-year-old Aiken man was detained for disorderly conduct, no S.C. driver’s license and open container of beer on Thursday after someone reported a possible impaired driver at a gas station on East Pine Log Road. The man exhibited signs of intoxication and was taken into custody. He also had an open can of beer inside his car.
A 26-year-old Aiken man was detained for driving under the influence on Saturday after an officer found his pickup stuck on railroad tracks on Park Avenue. A witness said the driver had trouble walking after he got out of the truck. The driver wasn’t on the scene when police arrived but later walked up and identified himself as the driver. He exhibited signs of intoxication and failed multiple field sobriety tests. The man, who refused to provide a breath sample, was also charged with simple possession of marijuana after officers found a leafy green substance stuffed into his underwear during a search at the jail.
An 18-year-old man was detained for shoplifting on Friday after he tried to take two shirts from a store in Aiken Mall without paying. The man was found hiding behind a car in the parking lot of a restaurant near the mall.
A 13-year-old Windsor girl was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after she tried to take items from a store on Whiskey Road without paying. She was booked and released to her mother.
A 36-year-old Aiken man was detained for driving under the influence on Sunday after he was pulled over on Richland Avenue for driving too slow and weaving in his lane. The man, who smelled strongly of alcohol, failed multiple field sobriety tests and provided blew a .18 percent on the Breathalyzer.
A 28-year-old Aiken woman was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after she tried to take items from a store on York Street without paying.
A warrant for criminal domestic violence was issued for a 24-year-old Aiken man who allegedly held his girlfriend down and choked her. The victim had visible injuries to show officers.
An 83-year-old woman reported jewelry missing from her room at an assisted living community in Aiken on Wednesday.
Officers investigated a report of shots fired on Brandt Court at about 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday but found no evidence of gunshots.
Vehicle break-ins were reported on Greenwich Drive on Thursday, Archdale Drive on Friday and Commons Court on Monday.
Officers responded to burglar alarms caused by open doors on Thursday at a home on Croft Avenue and on Saturday at a business on Berrie Road. The buildings were cleared and secured after no signs of forced entry were found.
Vehicles were reported stolen from Church Street on Wednesday and Fabian Drive on Friday.
A burglary was reported at a home on Freiday Lane on Sunday. Meat from the freezer, a DVD player, a printer, DVDs, money, shoes and cellphones were reported missing. The owner reported that the intruder also ate a container of candy.
An additional burglary was reported on Fairfield Street on Friday. The owner reported a TV missing.

A vehicle was reported stolen from Lake Shore Drive in Aiken on Sunday.
A Graniteville woman reported on Sunday that someone took her purse after she left it in a shopping cart at a store on Jefferson Davis Highway.
