USCA gathers to help others at Thanksgiving event
The students, faculty and staff of USC Aiken joined together on Thursday to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner while helping those in need at the University’s first One Table event.
Many tables were combined into one in the campus quad areas, where all gathered for the festivities.
In the spirit of the season, attendees brought canned goods, school supplies or other donations for Area Churches Together Serving, an organization that helps those in need in the Aiken area.
“We are thrilled with the first ever USC Aiken One Table event and believe it will be a wonderful new tradition on our campus to highlight our sense of family as well as to give back to those less fortunate in the community,” said Ahmed Samaha, assistant vice chancellor of Student Life.
