According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 38-year-old Gloverville man was detained on a bench warrant for soliciting without a license and defrauding an innkeeper on Wednesday after he refused to pay a taxi fare.
A burglary was reported at a business on Laurens Street on Wednesday. The owner reported someone entered by tearing down a wooden board covering a hole in the door and took copper parts from an air conditioner unit.
An additional burglary was reported Wednesday at a home on Hill Avenue.
A 46-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Wednesday after he was pulled over on Richland Avenue for speeding. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Grace Avenue on Wednesday. The owner reported a laptop and a wallet missing.
Multiple vehicle break-ins were reported at a business on Corporate Parkway on Wednesday. All the victims reported items from their vehicles stolen after an unknown person shattered windows on their vehicles.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A burglary was reported at a home on Church Street in Warrenville on Wednesday. The owner reported electronics missing.
An additional burglary was reported on Monarch Street in Warrenville on Wednesday. Nothing was missing, but the owner reported that the home was in disarray.
