North Augusta drug store evacuated after bomb scare

A drugstore in North Augusta was briefly evacuated after a bomb scare, according to the North Augusta Department of Public Safety.

The call came in just after 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, a spokesman for North Augusta Public Safety said. Officers responded to the Walgreen’s at 1228 Knox Ave. and checked the area but were unable to locate anything.

The store was cleared for customers to return.
