Letter: Christmas too commercialized

Richard Healy’s letter on Nov. 6 complained that a minority of Americans are successful in taking Christ out of Christmas. 

With all the commercialism and excessive spending on over-the-top gifts such as cars for Christmas, coupled with the vanishing observance of the true meaning of Christmas, I suspect that Christ would prefer to have his name removed from the holiday.
