According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 47-year-old Augusta woman was detained for shoplifting on Monday after she tried to push a cart of merchandise out of a store on Whiskey Road without paying.

Two 16-year-old Aiken boys were detained for shoplifting on Tuesday after they tried to take camouflage hoodies from a store on Whiskey Road without paying for them. They were processed and released to their guardians.

Gunshots were reported on Freiday Lane about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. Officers investigated but found no evidence of shots fired.

Two Aiken men were detained for shoplifting on Tuesday after they tried to take merchandise from a store on Whiskey Road without paying. They were also charged with trespassing after notice, and one man was charged with driving under suspension.

A 44-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Wednesday after he was pulled over on Silver Bluff Road for speeding. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.

A Jackson woman reported damage to her vehicle on Monday after she left it parked at North Aiken Elementary School. The vehicle had dents and scratches on the door and hood, and a rock was found lying on the trunk.

An unknown man took two 24-ounce beers from a convenience store on Whiskey Road on Tuesday without paying.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A burglary was reported on Edgemont Street in Aiken on Tuesday. The owner reported electronics, firearms and a pressure washer missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on Edgefield Highway in Trenton, Borden Road in North Augusta, Jefferson Davis Highway in Graniteville, Edgewood Drive in North Augusta, Hazel Street in North Augusta and Church Road in Beech Island.
