UPDATED: Duke's Bar-B-Q employees robbed Saturday night

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a late-night armed robbery of employees of the Dukes BBQ restaurant.

Around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, three employees returning to the restaurant were approached by two men,who ordered the employees to lay on the ground, and then demanded money from them, police said.

One victim was struck in the head by one of the suspects, but did not require medical treatment, police said.

The suspects fled with personal belongings of the victims prior to deputies arriving at the business.

Deputies were still on the scene investigating at 11:30 p.m., and the Aiken County bloodhound tracking team had been called in to assist.

Patrol cars could be seen driving slowly up and down the roads near the Whiskey Road restaurant with their spotlights on.
