A new event combining golf, tea and fashion will take place in November.

The Mead Hall PTO is hosting its inaugural Tee ‘N Tea.

According to PTO President Michele Bunker, the school and the PTO wanted to hold some sort of fall fundraiser that would offer activities for a variety of people to enjoy. The event will kick off with golf in the morning. A tea and fashion show will be held later in the afternoon. Models of the fashion show will include students and teachers wearing outfits provided by local downtown businesses, Bunker said.

“We’re excited about it,” Bunker said. “It’s a good way to support Mead Hall and have some fun all at the same time.”

Proceeds from the event will go toward Mead Hall technology updates at the school, Bunker said.

The Platinum sponsor of the event is EnergySolutions.

The golf game starts at 10 a.m. at the Aiken Golf Club on Nov. 8. The cost is $300 per team made up of four players. The deadline to sign up for the tournament is Nov. 1, and there are other sponsorship opportunities available. Lunch will be provided.

The tea and fashion show will take place on the same day starting at 3:30 p.m. in the Aiken Prep Campus Gym. A silent auction will also take place. The cost is $20 per adult and $10 for children.
