According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

Two men were detained for shoplifting on Tuesday after they tried to take a ratchet set and wrench set from the a story on Whiskey Road without paying.

An Aiken woman reported on Tuesday that someone took her purse that she left in a shopping cart at a store on York Street. She returned to the store but the purse was no longer there.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

Burglaries were reported Tuesday on Weston Street in North Augusta, JB Swartz Road in Wagener, Hampton Avenue in Aiken, Catawba Road in North Augusta, and Greenland Drive in North Augusta.

Vehicle break-ins were reported in North Augusta on Silver Fox Way, Monterey Aveune and Edisto Avenue.

A vehicle was reported stolen from Dixie Clay Road in Beech Island on Tuesday.
