According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
An Aiken woman reported on Friday that someone took $5,000 in clothing items from her home.
A 55-year-old Aiken man was detained for possession of cocaine and cited for speeding, open container and possession of drug paraphernalia on Friday. The man was pulled over for speeding on Banks Mill Road, and the officer asked to search the car after seeing a cup that contained wine. During the search, the officer found a vile containing cocaine and a straw.
A 27-year-old Williston woman was detained for shoplifting on Monday after she tried to take several items from a Whiskey Road store without paying.
A 32-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after he tried to take an alcoholic beverage from a Whiskey Road store without paying.
A 47-year-old Aiken man was detained for driving under suspension and unlawful carrying of a pistol on Saturday after an officer pulled him over on Laurens Street.
An 18-year-old Trenton woman was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after she tried to take several items from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.
A 24-year-old Aiken woman was detained for DUI on Sunday after being pulled over on Hidden Haven Drive for driving erratically. The woman was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
Three unknown people took a purse from a store in Aiken Mall on Sunday without paying. The individuals reportedly entered the store carrying empty bags from the same store.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Spring Drive on Friday. A woman saw a man in her husband’s vehicle who fled after he saw her. A radio and a GPS unit were reported missing.
An air conditioner unit was reported missing from a home on Colleton Avenue on Friday.
Gunfire was reported on Maurice Terrace about 7:20 p.m. on Saturday. Officers investigated but found no evidence of shots fired.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A 46-year-old Monetta man was detained for DUI on Sunday after being pulled over on Old 96 Indian Trial Road in Monetta. A caller reported a possible impaired driver. The man smelled of alcoholic beverage and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
A North Augusta man reported on Friday that someone made multiple unauthorized transactions on his bank card.
A burglary was reported on Friday at a home on Piney Heights Road in Warrenville. Firearms and jewelry were reported missing.
Additional burglaries were reported on Shiloh Church Road in Aiken, Columbia Highway in Ridge Spring, Camp Rawls Road in Wagener, Charleston Highway in Williston, Jenny Street in Montmorenci, Beard Road in Beech Island and Augusta Road in Warrenville.
Vehicles were reported stolen on Sunday from Independent Boulevard in Aiken, Chestnut Avenue in North Augusta and Wayne Court in Monetta.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Sunday on Cary Avenue in North Augusta.
