The Aiken Department Public Safety have arrested a man wanted for several burglaries in the Aiken area.

Ricky Antonio Holmes, 31, of Aiken, has been charged with three counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of safecracking and possession of burglary tools.

Police say Holmes allegedly broke into the Breakers Convenience Store on University Parkway as well as Pizza Hut and Kentucky Fried Chicken, both located on Richland Avenue.

While he was inside those businesses, he forced entry into the safes and removed an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Holmes is currently incarcerated at Aiken County Detention Center. Investigators are continuing to investigate to determine if Holmes is connected to other burglaries in the Aiken area.
