According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

An Aiken woman reported on Monday that someone shattered the window of her vehicle while it was parked at a restaurant on Whiskey Road for about an hour.

An unknown man fled on a bicycle Monday after taking several hygiene items from a store on York Street.

A 46-year-old Beech Island man was detained for shoplifting on Monday after he took a 24-ounce beer from a store on Richland Avenue without paying. The man, who has at least three shoplifting convictions, went behind the store to drink the beer and was apprehended by officers.

A 60-year-old Aiken man was detained for gross intoxication on Monday after officers found him slumped over on a bench with an open beer next to him. The man could barely stand and was drooling.

A burglary was reported at a home on Palm Drive on Monday. The owner reported a television missing, and damage to her couch cushions and bedroom mattress.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A burglary was reported at a home on Arden Lane in Clearwater on Monday. The owner reported laptop computers, cash and a game missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on Old Shoals Road in Monetta, Mt. Zion Road in Graniteville, Jody Lane in Monetta and Leonard Street in Warrenville.

Vehicle break-ins were reported Monday on Columbia Highway in North Augusta, Dudley Drive in Langley, and Parker Drive in Clearwater.

Vehicles were reported stolen Monday from Jefferson Davis Highway in North Augusta, Oakdale Avenue in Belvedere and Pine Street in Gloverville.
