According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
Officers responded to a bar on Richland Avenue early Saturday regarding a fight. The involved parties had already fled the scene. Two of the suspects were reportedly at another bar earlier “trying to start a fight” and left for the second bar.
A 22-year-old Evans man was detained for disorderly conduct, drinking beer in public and littering on Sunday after an officer saw him walking on the sidewalk of Richland Avenue, swaying back and forth. The man looked back at the officer as he pulled over and continued walking. He finally threw his beer down on the ground and walked toward the officer.
A 17-year-old Warrenville man was detained for shoplifting on Friday after he tried to take a cellphone from a store without paying.
A 21-year-old Aiken man was detained for driving under the influence on Friday after an officer saw him driving recklessly on Hayne Avenue. The man exhibited signs of intoxication and failed multiple field sobriety tests.
A 60-year-old man was detained for disorderly conduct after he entered the ladies room of a gas station on York Street. The exited after officers arrived, and they found him to be intoxicated.
A 56-year-old Aiken woman was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after she tried to take beer and drink mix from a York Street store without paying.
A 17-year-old woman was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after she tried to take items from a store in Aiken Mall without paying.
An Aiken man reported two chainsaws and a box of tools missing from his truck parked on York Street on Saturday.
A 20-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after he tried to take candy from a store on York Street without paying.
Burglaries were reported Friday on Northwood Drive and Richland Avenue.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Aldrich Street on Friday. The owner reported a pistol missing.
Broken windows were reported at businesses on Richland Avenue and York Street on Friday.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
Two air conditioner units were reported missing from a Connector Road in Graniteville on Saturday.
A lawn mower and two air conditioner units were reported missing from Pipeline Road in Aiken on Saturday.
Burglaries were reported on Sand Dam Road in Wagener, Old Tory Trail Road in Aiken, Oak Street in Gloverville, Edgefield Highway in Aiken and New Holland Road in Aiken.
Vehicles were reported stolen from Windsor Road in Windsor and Kerry Court in North Augusta.
Vehicle break-ins were reported on Sand Dam Road in Wagener and Jefferson Davis Highway in North Augusta.
