According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 27-year-old Barnwell woman was detained for driving under the influence on Monday after an accident on Whiskey Road. The woman exhibited signs of intoxication and failed multiple field sobriety tests. She registered a blood-alcohol content of .18 percent.

A burglary was reported at a beauty supply store on York Street on Tuesday. The owner reported a window broken and merchandise missing.

An additional burglary was reported at a home on Laurens Street on Monday. The owner reported two guns missing.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A burglary was reported at a home on Briarbay Lane in Batesburg on Monday. The owner reported electronics, jewelry and an air conditioner unit missing.

Additional burglaries were reported Monday on Augusta Road in Langley, Borden Road in North Augusta and Millerton Drive in Aiken.
