Donna Moore Wesby has been appointed to serve on the Board of Trustees at John de la Howe School.

A 33-year resident of Aiken, Wesby is founder and host of weekly radio and television broadcasts entitled “Education Matters with Donna Moore Wesby.” The show is broadcast on WAAW Shout 94.7 FM and Aiken Standard Television Channel 95. This past spring she founded a nonprofit corporation known as “Education Matters.”

She is founder and owner of The Greatest Gift, an all-occasion gift business, and manages the Savannah River Site Employee Association Store. An honor graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism, Wesby and her husband, Donald, are parents to three children.

Wesby is one of four new trustees to join the John de la Howe Board this summer. The other new trustees are Barbara Devinney of McCormick, Ted McGee of Lexington and Felicia Preston of Columbia.

Founded in 1797 and one of the oldest institutions in South Carolina, John de la Howe School provides a safe place for children to heal, grow and make lasting changes.
