A pair of win streaks came to an end Saturday.

Susan Wantz’s Dance to Bristol had to settle for second, and Godolphin Racing’s Dance Card was a strong third, in the 6 1/2-furlong, $300,000, Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Handicap at Belmont Park.

Dance to Bristol was coming into the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom off of a seven race win streak, one that included five successive stakes victories. The daughter of Speightstown won the Grade 1 Ballerina Stakes in her last start. The 4-year-old chestnut filly is conditioned by Ollie Figgins III.

Dance to Bristol was broken and trained in Aiken by Cary and Tim Frommer, and increased her earnings to $980,880.

Dance Card was coming into Saturday’s race off of a 10-month layoff, but was riding her own four race win streak. The 4-year-old filly was broken and trained in Aiken by Tim Jones. The daughter of Tapit was coming off the biggest win of her career prior to the Gallant Bloom, capturing the Grade 1 Gazelle Stakes at Belmont Park during her sophomore campaign. Kiaran McLaughlin trains the multiple stakes winner.

Dance Card increased her lifetime earnings to $402,200.

Godoplhin Racing’s Villanesca was scratched.
