Letter: Project Jackson financing serves private, special interest group

It is almost unbelievable that our politicians bent a law intended to help blighted communities through the Tax Increment Financing, also know as TIF.

They have instead made it to serve a private, special interest group using taxpayer money.

Furthermore, they did this in plain view of everyone.

The vote should have gone to the taxpayer.

I suggest that the next time County Council comes to us with the local option sales tax, that we send a message to them and vote “no.”
