According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
An Aiken man reported a broken window at his shop on York Street on Friday.
Two safes were reported missing from a restaurant in The Alley on Friday.
An Aiken woman reported on Thursday that someone entered her home and took the cords off her son’s Xbox console and his cellphone charger.
A 23-year-old Edgefield man was detained for DUI on Thursday after officers responded to a dispute in downtown Aiken. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
A 46-year-old New Ellenton man was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after stealing socks from a store on Whiskey Road.
A 33-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Monday after he was seen driving erratically on Whiskey Road. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
Police responded to two calls of shots fired, at 7:20 p.m. Sunday on Ligon Street, and about 1:25 a.m. Monday on Bradby Lane. Officers investigated but found no evidence of gunfire.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A burglary was reported on Winthrop Drive in Aiken on Sunday. The owner reported two televisions and money missing.
Additional burglaries were reported Sunday on Fig Tree Court in North Augusta and Wire Road in Monetta.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Audubon Circle in Belevedere on Friday.
Vehicles were reported stolen Sunday from Honors Circle in Graniteville and Offspring Road in Aiken.
