NORTH MYRTLE BEACH (AP) — A sunset ceremony in North Myrtle Beach marked the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

The city is distributing 2,947 red, white and blue glow sticks on Wednesday evening in memory of the number of victims who died in the attacks.

The event on the city horseshoe near the ocean also featured a color guard, a 21-gun salute and the chiming of a fire bell. A memorial wreath was set afloat on the ocean.
