According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 39-year-old Aiken man was detained for disorderly conduct on Saturday after he was found lying in the roadway of Lancaster Street and Richland Avenue intoxicated.
A North Augusta man reported on Friday that someone entered his locker at Gold’s Gym and took his duffel bag containing his wallet, clothes and car keys.
A 53-year-old man was detained for shoplifting on Friday after he tried to take light switches from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.
A 25-year-old Graniteville man was detained for driving under the influence on Sunday after he was pulled over on Richland Avenue for swerving in his lane. The man failed field sobriety tests and was arrested.
A 42-year-old Aiken man was detained for driving under the influence on Sunday after he was pulled over on Silver Bluff Road for swerving and not using a turn signal. The man smelled of alcoholic beverage and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was arrested after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
An Aiken woman reported on Saturday that someone took her purse while she was at a store on Fabian Drive.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A 30-year-old Warrenville woman reported on Monday that she saw a prowler in her yard when she stepped outside of her home about 2:45 a.m. She told officers she fired a round from her pistol at the ground and the man ran off.
A 22-year-old Clearwater man was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after he tried to take beer from a convenience store on Jefferson Davis Highway without paying.
An Aiken woman reported on Sunday that someone took a boat and a trailer from her property on New Bridge Road.
