According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

An unknown man tried to take two sets of sheets from a store on Whiskey Road on Friday without paying. The man dropped the sheets outside the store and fled when confronted by a store employee.

A 32-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after he tried to take several meat products from a store on York Street without paying.

Two unknown women entered a business on Fabian Drive on Friday and took clothing items without paying.

A 36-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after he took several items from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.

Two unknown women took two iPad covers from a store on Whiskey Road on Saturday without paying.

A burglary was reported at a home on Columbia Avenue on Aug. 28. The homeowner reported a stereo and a firearm missing.

An additional burglary was reported on Kershaw Street on Saturday. The owner reported a jar of pennies missing.

Shots fired were reported on Pine Log Road about 11:35 a.m. on Saturday. Officers investigated and found packs of discharged fireworks.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A Graniteville man reported on Sunday that someone fired a gunshot into the front door of his home on Aiken Road. Officers found that the bullet penetrated a wall in the dining room and went into a back room.

A Ridge Spring woman reported on Saturday that someone took a firearm from her home on Holly Berry Trace.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Westmont Drive in Aiken on Monday.

A burglary was reported on Old Powderhouse Road in Aiken on Monday.
