Police blotter for Sept. 1

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A Wagener woman told police she was assaulted by two subjects, attacking her with a stick, which let to the woman falling from the porch. She said the subjects hit her multiple times in the head. Subjects said the victim was sleeping on the porch and crawled under a vehicle. Both denied the assault. The responding officer will submit a warrant app. to the local magistrate.

Officers responded to a call on Green Pond Road in Jackson, the victim stated an unknown subject tore down a listed building, which had various tools inside. The responding officers and victims noted tractor marks.

Officers responded to a call on Hwy 39 N. and Hwy 1 N. in Monetta after drivers spotted a man staggering and looking unsteady. The man smelled of alcohol and the Deputy had to hold the man upright. The man was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct (A), drunk in a public place and road.

An Aiken man on Edgefield Road in North Augusta called officers after a subject made entry into a parking lot by cutting the fence. Once inside, the subject stole a motorcycle, believed to be pushed through a hole in the fence.

A Ridge Spring woman called police when someone kicked a shop door open and took items on Bogeyville Road. The victim declined prosecution.

At the North Augusta Welcome Center on I-20, a Blackville woman reported an unknown subject stole her cellphone while she was working.
