Welloiledmachine victorious in Halton Stakes, Romancing the Gold and Kingston Bay score wins
Welloiledmachine made it consecutive victories in the Halton Stakes, with his fourth lifetime added money score in the 1-mile turf race Wednesday at Woodbine.
The 5-year-old gelded son of Mobil races in the silks of Christine and Dennis Windsor, and was in command throughout, drawing off to win by 2 3/4-lengths. The dark bay gelding conditioned by Mike Keogh, won the Halton and Overskate Stakes during his 4-year-old campaign, and Vice Regent Stakes as a 3-year-old. Welloiledmachine increased his lifetime earnings to $413,387.
Darley Stable’s homebred, Kingston Bay, went three wide, coming from off the pace, and broke his maiden in a 5 1/2-furlong turf race by 1 1/4-lengths Thursday at Saratoga Race Course.
The 3-year-old son of Street Boss was broken and trained in Aiken By Tim Jones.
Kiaran McLaughlin trains the chestnut gelding at the racetrack.
Bob Petersons Stables LLC’s, Romancing the Gold, picked up his sixth career victory, with a 4 3/4-length win in a 1 1/8-mile race Saturday at Saratoga Race Course. The 4-year-old son of Medallist became the 14th winner to come out of the Tim and Cary Frommer training program at the Saratoga race meet.
Romancing the Gold increased his lifetime earnings to $206,102.
