Bulldogs thrash Hornets

SILVERBLUFF 37, AIKEN 7

Silver Bluff head coach Al Lown said he felt like his offense played well in the team's opening loss to Strom Thurmond. He saw the fruits of the Bulldogs' efforts Friday as Silver Bluff (1-1) went home with a 35-7 win over Aiken (0-1).

North Augusta Jackets rout Midland Valley Mustangs

NORTH AUGUSTA 43, MIDLAND VALLEY 6

After Friday night's game against Midland Valley, North Augusta head coach Dan Pippin said he believed his team needed to score more often. North Augusta (2-0) scored 40-plus points for the second week in a 43-6 win over the Midland Valley (0-1).

Greenwood Eagles escape T-Breds

GREENWOOD 17, SOUTH AIKEN 10

As the game clock displayed zeroes at the end of Friday night's game between Greenwood and South Aiken, T-Breds head coach Jeremy West delivered an impassioned speech to his team. South Aiken had just taken the defending Class 4A, Division II state champions to the wire in front of a rowdy home crowd, entering the fourth quarter with the lead, before ultimately falling, 17-10.

Saluda rolls over Ridge Spring with 4th quarter explosion

SALUDA 37, RIDGE SPRING-MONETTA 12

The Trojans of Ridge Spring-Monetta High School stepped on the field Friday night looking for revenge following last year's 37-0 loss to the Tigers of visiting Saluda High School. While the Trojans were able to score 12 points this go around, they were unable to keep the Tigers from matching their previous year's total as Saluda walked away in the fourth quarter to win 37-12.
