Police blotter for Aug. 28
According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 21-year-old man was detained for third-degree assault and battery on Monday after he allegedly spit on and kicked a 35-year-old man at an office on Medical Park Drive.
A 62-year-old Aiken woman was detained for disorderly conduct and gross intoxication on Monday after officers saw her fall outside of a restaurant in The Alley. Officers tried to assist the woman with finding a ride home, but she became loud and belligerent with officers.
Maintenance equipment was reported missing from a City of Aiken shed on Beaufort Street on Monday.
A heating and air conditioner unit was reported stolen from a home on Columbia Avenue on Monday.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A Langley man was detained for disorderly conduct on Tuesday after officers found him passed out behind a grocery store on Jefferson Davis Highway.
An employee for AT&T reported on Monday that someone vandalized a tower on Shiloh Church Road in Aiken by cutting away copper wire and two bus bars from the tower.
An Aiken man reported a firearm missing from his vehicle parked outside his home on Monday.
Burglaries were reported on Wagontong Road in Wagener, Drum Lane in Williston and Silver Bluff Road in Jackson.
