A 20-year-old Barnwell man was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after he allegedly tried to take several shirts from a store in Aiken Mall without paying.
Gunshots were reported on Horry Street about 5:40 p.m. on Sunday. Officers investigated and found suspects described by the caller; however, there were no complaints of injuries, no guns recovered on the scene and there were no other witnesses.
Shots were also reported on Troon Way about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday. Officers investigated but could not substantiate the call.
Two unknown men on Monday took a case of beer from a convenience store on York Street without paying.
An unknown man on Friday took a 12-pack of beer concealed under his jacket from a store on York Street without paying.
A 32-year-old Warrenville man was charged with driving under the influence on Friday after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into a utility pole on Silver Bluff Road. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests. He provided a blood-alcohol content of .16 percent.
A 35-year-old Aiken woman was charged with driving under the influence on Friday after she was seen driving erratically on Hampton Avenue. The woman smelled strongly of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. She was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
A 39-year-old Jonesboro, Ga., man was charged with driving under the influence on Saturday after he was seen speeding on Whiskey Road. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
A 28-year-old Warrenville woman was charged with driving under the influence on Sunday after she was seen driving down Richland Avenue while repeatedly sounding her vehicle’s horn. The woman smelled strongly of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. She was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
A burglary was reported on Brown Lane on Saturday. The owner reported that the burglar entered the home by pushing a window air conditioner unit through a window. A television was reported missing.
An additional burglary was reported on South Aiken Lane on Sunday.
Vehicle break-ins were reported on Saturday on Greenville Street and Mallard Lake Drive.

An Aiken woman reported on Sunday that someone “rolled” with toilet paper the yard and porch of her Beaver Creek Lane home.
A 34-year-old Clearwater man was detained for disorderly conduct on Sunday after officers noticed he appeared to be intoxicated on Hampton Avenue. He told officers he had six beers and had been smoking crack.
A 26-year-old Warrenville man was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after he tried to take toothpaste and toothbrushes from a store on Jefferson Davis Highway in Warrenville.
Vehicles were reported stolen on Sunday from Woldus Road in North Augusta and Jack Jones Street in Aiken.
Burglaries were reported on Sunday on Sunshine Circle in Aiken and Granview Road in Jackson.
