The Aiken County Sheriff's Office have arrested an Augusta man they believe may be involved in a rash of recent automobile break-ins in Aiken and North Augusta.

Brian Scott Lowry, 42, who lives on Deans Bridge Road in Augusta, has been arrested in reference to a warrant from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, said Sgt. Jason Feemster with the Sheriff's Office.

The arrest came after the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office was investigating auto break-ins that occurred in the Woodridge Subdivision in Clearwater, according to police. During the investigation, police got a description of the suspect, and he was found by Aiken County Deputies and North Augusta Public Safety Officers behind an area convenient store, Feemster said.

He is suspected in a rash of recent car break-ins in Aiken and North Augusta, police said. At least nine vehicles were broken into in the same North Augusta subdivision on Monday night, police said.
