Amelia Mayhall Hiltz
Mrs. Amelia Mayhall Hiltz passed away on July 23, 2013, surrounded by family, after struggling to overcome injuries suffered in a car accident in December 2012. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 27, at 2 o’clock at Trinity On The Hill United Methodist Church with Minister Don McLaughlin of North Atlanta Church of Christ officiating. Music will be directed by Rick Castleman of Lexington, Kentucky.
Amelia was a native of Searcy, Arkansas, a former resident of Paducah, KY and Little Rock, AR, having made the North Augusta area her home for the past 2 years. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Business where she was a Chancellor Scholar and a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Prior to starting a family, Amelia worked as a Controlling Accountant for Remington College. She was a generous, kind, and gentle soul who was devoted to her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 6 years, William S. Hiltz; daughter, Charlotte May Hiltz; son, Theodore (Theo) Stephen Hiltz; parents, Brian and Danna Mayhall, Searcy, AR; sister and brother-in-law, Malesa and Brandon McLeod, Richmond, VA; maternal grandparents, Dan and Jean Smith, Searcy, AR; and nephew, Clement McLeod, Richmond, VA. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Glen and Ruth Amelia Mayhall of Florence, AL.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
